Building Bridges

We studied bridges this week as we are bridging new friendships in our classroom. Here are our final products:

They started off as only recyclable materials. I loved watching their imaginations take over! 

Read to Self

We are building our read to self stamina. We are trying out places in the classroom that are a best fot for us.

A new crop of minions is heading my way!  I am looking forward to my second year in second grade!  It's going to be a year full of learning and laughter!

Bugz

These second graders stole the show with their Bugz musical. It was precious. It was funny. It was just what elementary school should be. It was also the talk of the school! So proud of all my little critters! 

Science Studies

It's still so amazing to watch students experience science first-hand. Just this week, we saw our seeds sprout without soil and then planted them in the soil. Wow! What a difference the dirt made! 

Then our white carnations and regular celery turned colors overnight!
